Manta Implant LLC, a Virginia based startup with multi-disciplinary professionals, is focused on developing an Artificial Intelligence-based therapeutic delivery system for a significantly safer, quicker, and more accurate drug delivery to patients with chronic diseases such as autoimmune diseases, diabetes, drug addiction, and HIV/AIDS. Manta Implant’s patented therapeutic delivery system is analogous to an autopilot in a self-driven car. It comprises an implantable pump containing a novel body temperature stable drug formulation and a biosensor. The implantable pump and the biosensor are integrated using Artificial Intelligence. There is a growing market need for a reliable method of drug delivery for time critical medications, especially for patients that are unable or unwilling to administer to themselves, e.g., due to lack of compliance, elderly patients, during travel, soldiers at war or people with mental illness.
